FIFA Street is almost here!

One of EAs most anticipated games of the year, FIFA Street is almost upon us! And in typical EA fashion they have released a demo to get our mouth watering at the prospect of buying the game. But, have they done a decent job compared to its predeccessor?

Source: EA Sports.

We'll start with what the core game provides. At the moment EA Creative Director Gary Patterson has told us there is FIVE game modes which include 5-a side, Panna Rules, Futsal, Last Man Standing and Custom Match. All of those are explained in the preview i've linked in above. But basically, 5-a side is five players on one team 4 on the field and one keeper. And the two new additions are Futsal and Last Man Standing. Futsal is 5 a side competition that has no outs and is similar to the original 5 a side. And last man standing is a game mode taht when a goal is scored against your team you lose a player. And whoever loses all of their players first loses the game.

Patterson has also gone on to explain a few other aspects of the game such as World Tour, in which you and your team travel around the worl in a conquest for world domination in the shorter form of the game. This mode will add to the longevity of the game, and in the end give players more reasons to buy it.

The graphics engine is similar to the one used in FIFA 12, however that is a major upgrade on the original FIFA street which had a "cartoon" like feel and wasn't taken seriously in the 'football gamers' world.

The Demo for FIFA Street has been released and is available for a free download now on Xbox 360 Marketplace and PSN. Get downloading and share your opinons on how you think the final prodcut of the game will turn out!
